FD opener: maybe kill 1 opponent, plunder defensives from everyone.
Stratus opener: maybe kill 1+ opponents, augment-dependent maybe lock 1+ opponents, massive DEF-down of those he does hit.

If you know you're slower and run a destroyer for jackie loop purposes, there's no reason not to have your first shooter be Stratus, (unless you happen to have Starlord )
Why arent you in the top 32 CCC fights! You know everything about this game! Tell your in game contact to fill your account with credits so we can watch a true player compete rather then the wallets!

I do compete in Top32, just not with z3nithor.s789.
There are so many ways to improve at lv90+ that you do not need to worry about (re: pay for) in lower levels. But with Anatoli's arrival, 65-79 is hugely unbalanced. You have to have one of the following to beat an Anatoli fleet with half your force:
    Alfred
    Anatoli
    Azrael
Fearsome Devil (and no opponent destroyer)
    Joya (and no opponent destroyer)
    Roxy
    Starlord
    Ursa

An extremely weak Anatoli fleet can be beaten if Anatoli is < +7 and you land enough multihits, with none of the above commanders.

If the opponent is over your same force? Good luck getting the win without 2 of those commanders and your own Anatoli. A lucky deaccumulation with St Nick might buy you some time.

Dark Asgard used to be the must-have commander for Top32 65-79 success, but the 5M, 3-round shield of Anatoli+0 takes the cake now. DA is free... Anatoli is most definitely not.

Yes i realise the fill your account with credits followed by rather then the wallets is a contradiction, but my point was top players pay to win and never really learn the commander or the game. They just buy the next pay to win commander and move on. However watching someone with the same commanders at an appropriate force level use the commanders to their full ability would be much more entertaining to watch.

In theory, sure. I do think there are a fair number of big spenders who know what works best with various commanders that they have, and how to defeat even bigger fish. Certainly, if one is not a big spender, one is unaware of the true capability of commanders at such high levels - which will invariably result in misconceptions about possible firing orders, placements, and opponent survivability, all of which tilt the table back to the one with shiny, new (tricked-out) gun.

If [+7] were still the max, then we would have only aeros, modules, and commander inventory as the spender's refuge.
    time's up.
