    Commander's Story Guides

    Vitos
    Untitled1.png
The Holy land of Green Algae is but a shimmering speck of green in the sky to Vitos. Playing the Vitospipes and enjoying the sounds of different shaped leaves blowing in the wind, Vitos wished he could be like those ancient silent trees, let his spirit be free, and return the land of his ancestors: Green Algae.
Regardless of which version of Sylphian legend to which you ascribe, Green Algae is always named as the first life form in the galaxy. When this planet-sized organism floated through the galaxy for countless years, it felt the desolation and loneliness of the surrounding areas. Green Algae decided to split itself into millions of spores. After sacrificing its soul, Green Algae relinquished its self-awareness and stopped in the Sylph district. Those millions of spores that descended into the surrounding planets were the earliest ancestors of Vitos and the Sylphians.
Whether or not you believe the tale, Vitos believes that these ancient stories reveal at least some part of the truth. Even if Green Algae isn’t the real birthplace of the Sylphians they all can still feel its call. This feeling is not just belief. It’s like a bird yearning for its home.
However, before the human fleet came to the Sylph district, not a single Sylphian could successfully make it back to Green Algae. There certainly were Sylphians who only yearned for tranquility, worshipped their holy land or lacked progressive spirit, but the electromagnetic radiation in the Green Algae surroundings was truly their fatal blow. Sylphians who died a natural death or suffered an accident could use part of their body’s to renew growth, and within a certain period of time, rejuvenate themselves like new. But the electromagnetic radiation from Green Algae Planet completely destroyed the Sylphian people’s cellular composition, rendering the unable to regenerate.
Vitos had already caught word of the humans who had come from another region. His war-mongering “neighbors” were stopped by the electromagnetic radiation. According to war reports from The Water Demon and Dusk, the race from beyond the stars could control the electromagnetism to create a murderous weapon. Maybe they would fulfill the prophecy. New friends “from beyond the stars who pass through the blighted depths will begin the Third Age of Civilization from the Holy Land.”

    Aquos
    Untitled2.png
Prophecies, my friend, are not black magic, nor the workings of witches and necromancers. Nor are they the emperor’s words. We are talking about Aquos, a Vaterian with the power of real prophecy.
In the eyes of the people, Aquos is the incarnation of the deep blue ocean, seemingly able to answer all questions put to him. He can help people make the wisest decision. He is miraculously able to foresee the changes of every battle and provide the most useful strategy. It is with this power that he earned his respect.
It was not until Aquos met a never before seen race, the humans, that he struggled to find the right course of action. This Vaterian prophet frankly stated that he could not provide any useful strategy to take. It was at this point that Aquos’ battle companions realized that his prophetic abilities were not really miracles, but just an uncanny ability to scan reports from the most useful information and perform exquisite analysis.
With enough information, Aquos was nearly able to predict the exact future before it happened. The more information he gets ahold of, the more accurate his predictions. Any possibility of the future is based on happenings of the past or the present. If a storm was kicked up by a butterfly 3km away, then you just need to have information on this butterfly to determine the effect its wings have on the atmosphere, and you can completely predict the beginning of another storm 3km away.
After people and Aquos became allies, he became the first Vaterian in the human fleet. This mysterious prophet has an unquenchable thirst for information so the data which humans gather is of vital importance to him. It’s all for the next miraculous prophecy.

    Thantos
    Untitled3.png
Thantos could not understand what made these extremely hard rocks so valuable.
Menno District declared war upon the Descendants of Gaea without hesitation, all for these hard rocks, but Carl and his companions threw them away as though they were garbage. He’d sent the shiny rocks to Vitos as a gift. When Vitos opened the gift his mouth began to twitch. And now what surprised him the most is that these creatures who call themselves humans are willing to exchange the rocks for Aerolite treasure. Thantos told them, in all honestly, that the stones were useless and could never compare to the Aerolite treasures, but the humans didn’t listen. They sent out most of their fleet in search of Aerolite treasures from the four corners of the universe in order to trade it for those hard rocks! Thantos and his people believed that maybe the humans had rocks for brains. What possible use could they have for them?
But then Thantos figured that different civilizations would have differing values. He still remembered Aethos, the representative of Menno District, was too happy to contain himself and almost smashed the table when he announced the minor trade agreement for the stones. He was astounded that the humans treated the useless hard rocks as precious stones. He understood that the stones held some special value to the humans, just as he and his people utilized Stardust and Aerolite Core to extend life; to humans, exposure to the Aerolite core is lethal after extended exposure.
As to why he was willing to join the Empire fleet, Thantos argued with the force of justice that he was willing to use Gaea’s body to cover the gap of values, because it is clearly the humans’ loss exchanging Aerolite treasure for worthless stones. But erudite Aquos mercilessly exposed him. This is because Thantos coveted Aerolites that hadn’t been exploited in the Galaxy.
It seems that the big guy is not so simple and honest as people imagine. But the Empire fleet did not expose his lie, because they knew it was far more valuable to have his strong help than all those useless Aerolites.

    Aethos
    Untitled4.png
When different races and civilizations meet, what is most like to happen? War, of course. Every organism that can change and manipulate nature on a large scale will face the problem between development speed and resource collecting.
Mennonites are a race with bodies composed over 80% of inorganic matter. This peculiar evolutionary trait was initially began in order to avoid resource battles with organic beings. But the unequal distribution of resources in the Elemental Plain and treats from other universes made avoiding war impossible for organisms living there. The evolutionary traits that originally had them live in harmony eventually turned to traits with more destructive power.
According to authority, inorganic life forms adapt better to cruel environments than organic beings. They have a stable structure which gives them the capability of enduring over organic beings. They can even be exposed to radiation for a period of time. Mennonites are some of the most powerful soldiers in the Elemental Dimension, but this doesn’t mean they can rule the universe.
Mennonites and the so-called “Star Burners” of the Sara Mande District have harbored grudges for one another over thousands of years. Neither the learned Sylph people nor the Vaterians gifted in intelligence collection understand the history of the wars between the Mennonites and Star Burners. In the Menno District, every newly born life form bears the burden of battle. They are told that the Star Burners are vulgar and base, and the Mennonites have the duty to exterminate them from the universe. Growing up hearing these kind of messages, the new Mennonite soldiers carry a strong sense of responsibility after reaching maturity. This may explain why the wars have lasted for thousands of years.
“Star Burners? Don’t believe those guys. Please allow me to express a most sincere welcome on behalf of the Mennonites to you, friend.” From the “Galaxy Legend Interstellar Report” reported from the Universe Exploration Force’s first visit with Menno Ambassador Aethos.

    Incendos
    Untitled5.png
Possibly because this star district is the closest to the Abyss, but Incendos and his mates of the Sara Mande District are able to utilize the power of energy across all of the Elemental Dimension.
Energy is the source of life – no matter to Vitos, who can remain motionless for years at a time; or to Thantos, who sees stardust radiation as something more important than his own well being. The warriors of the Sara Mande District spend most of their time battling in the Menno Chaos District and the Abyss, their knowledge and skills hard earned during every moment of life-and-death battles.
Without question, Incendos is among their finest. The armies of the Abyss have a nearly flawless system which enables them to absorb and reflect energy attacks. The formidable fleets must see them as a bottomless black hole; no matter how powerful the energy attack is, Incendos’s troops can always absorb and counter with an attack that is a few times stronger then their foe’s. There are countless unique fleets in the Elemental Dimension, but only Incendos’s fleet has a time-tested method to reduce the effectiveness of the counter-attack strategy of the Abyss. Every kind of attack relates to the way you utilize energy. As long as you understand energy, the “unbeatable” fleet of the Abyss is no longer an “unbeatable legend”.
But that’s not enough for Incendos. The fire burning in his gut has turned from amber to bright-white: this is the beginning of his wrath! The “God of Destroyers” is calling for a new battle, a new search for inspiration that can only find fruition during the test of life and death.

The first connected story that i am posting is about the 5 Elemental Commanders. There are few other stories that are connected and written in the Handbook. I will add them here at one points.
