I would like to talk a little about Geoffrey from a different perspective: versatility.

I believe at this point in the game Geoffrey is one of the most versatile commanders in regard to his usage.

    1) PvP (arena, Galaxy League, mining and colonizing):
This is the obvious usage and I won't insist much on it. The shield is great in keeping a fleet alive, while in combination with Acc'tan he is one of the most resilient commanders out there.

    2) Wormhole events:
This is one aspect usually overlooked when considering Geoffrey. Before I had him there was no chance to finish wormhole events, but after I did the situation changed. I am now able to finish 2 out of 3 wormhole events, so in a sense he is paying for itself in there.
Even during the class specific events like the current rangers one, although he is not doing any damage, the shield he gives keeps the rest of the fleet alive enough time to make it worth using him instead of a 4th ranger.

    3) Primus Invasion
Another overlooked aspect. In the Primus invasion most top players are using Alfred with Krill lt. now in order to hunt Primuses. What this means is that most of the time around 8-10 people will make a monopoly in killing most Primus fleets. Thus the rest of the players will be killing escorts most of the time. Goeffrey is an excelent escort killer, making it so that you could basically put a fleet with him in a node and kill escorts there all day long if you put him first to shoot.
End result ... free R6 nuclears enabled by Geoffrey alone.

    4) Pandora
This is an obvious usage. As long as in Pandora the damage made to shields is not counted, Geoffrey makes it so that you loose little supplies when attacking, allowing for more battles, thus much more influence.

    5) Chaos Quasar
This is the place where he makes things "easy mode". Basically all you need to do is fully equip Geoffrey with the best galactonites and gear. Leave the rest of the fleet naked only with engine core on (for speed) ... and enjoy a fast and stress free CQ.

As a conclusion all I can say is that at the moment Geoffrey is a very versatile tool for most situations. Although the fixed shield might be a concern if lvl110 is ever released, I do believe it is high enough to be useful even then.

    1) The first place as enemies I will not put a specific commander but a stat: Penetration
The way to beat Geoffrey is by enhancing the penetration of commanders by a lot. No block = no perma shield.
Strikers, FS and Protectors can take additional penetration from TS modules. So if you do have problems with a Geoffrey, don't forget this secondary attribute for TS modules.

Saftey measure: Now for the Geoffrey users the antidote is of course ... block as a secondary TS module. If you notice that you don't yet have a decent block rate for Geoffrey ... and by decent I mean at least around 70% ... take block as an attribute.

    2) Stratus at +7 and above.
The main reason Stratus is put on 2nd place and not someone else is because it counters very well Acc'tan. With a Stratus of +7 the enemy Geoffrey would need around 11 activations of Acc'tan to be safe. Most of the time this won't happen and Geoffrey will be vulnerable for a while.

Safety measure: Just one really ... Kill Stratus before it kills you

    3) Dor with Lt. Kit
Lt. Kit basically makes it so that Geoffrey can't use his best asset ... the shield. Pair that with Dor having permanent 100 accumulator and activating Lt. Kit each turn and you get a perfect Geoffrey stopper. Unless the enemy is lucky so that Kit doesn't activate, Dor should be an almost perfect killing machine vs Geoffrey.

Safety measure: Kill Dor as soon as you can, there's no other way around. Use Dor or Roxy yourself it you have problems hitting him.

    4) Alfred
Alfred has a very interesting attack which makes it very dangerous for Geoffrey. The initial blast is weak enough not to trigger Acc'tan while the delayed damage is very potent, enough to kill most of the time. Add to this the fact the course ending is just like poison and ignores shield effect taking damage directly from the hull of a ship ... and you get a very good tool to destroy a Geoffrey.

Safety measure: There are actually 2 things one can do aside the obvious killing of Alfred: either place Geoffrey in such a position that it has at least 1-2 Acc'tan activations by the time the course explodes or have Maggie in the fleet shoot Alfred before it shoots the course.

    5) Destroyers
Destroyers I consider to be lower on the danger list because once the shield is up, although they do ignore defense, Geoffrey virtually has so high of a life pool that an equally powerful destroyer shouldn't be able to kill him. It might take half the life but most of the time won't kill.

Safety measure: upgrade all e-def tech trees and kill the destroyers before they kill you.

    6) Roxy
Roxy is good at finishing Geoffreys who already have many Acc'tan activations. Basically that 1 Million damage is enough to do the job if Geoffrey doesn't have a shield on.

Saftey measure: high block and kill Roxy. Less of a priority then the others on the kill list but still should be dealt with sooner rather than later.

    7) Geoffrey
Last but not least ... Run Geoffrey yourself, be the attacker, activate Acc'tan first and you should win most of the time as long as you eliminated the main threats from the list above.

Saftey measure: have the better Geoffrey and use some of the above mentioned killers ... preferably more than one
    Thanks Bogdan! Great "nemesis-guide".

Geoffrey and Acc'tan combo is the best commander and Lieutenant combo for all none CC players. He can easily win a fighter on his own providing you deal with enemy destroys and Roxy and Stratus. But even his defence against destroyers is amazing. If the shield doesn't drop he can easily take a shot from Incendos. If i had the cores he would be +7 already.

Well, obviously Skverl.s504, the Android owner of Katiya Storm, came to the same conclusion. He got Geoffrey today.

Its a shame that tap have over done normal commanders as it means more and more legendary commanders are reserved on the bench never to be seen again.

In the end we keep seeing the same commanders in battle with the same tactics being used. It was nice seeing the CCC battles as it was good to watch something new. Now even top players are using these commanders making every battle a bit boring and repetitive.

If I would be owner of a legendary commander for whom I spend a lot of money and which has been outdated by a new general commander I really would be pissed. But I think big spenders think different and will ignore such punch in the face and will spend just more money in the future to compensate such loss. Great deal for T$F :-D
