Galactic Chairmen Guide :: CCC Analysis :: Jan 2016 Level 100 (Android)

    .
Cross Cosmos Competition Jan 2016 Android Level 100 Review

The most recent CCC showed some constant characteristics and some interesting trends.

    2016-01-30_12-43-14 CCC Level 100 Overview.jpg

The winner of level 100 competition on Android platform is again 197911.s331. I suppose most of you have heard of this player already. ;-) The final duel was a straight 3:0 win against drakoxa.s56 but the battles were not as clear as the outcome looks like.
Mentionable is that drakoxa used a pretty "normal" fleet for a CCC finalist judged by commander choice: Incendos, Retrobot, Dark Vela'rath and Aquos.

    Commander Usage Analysis

The most used commander at level 100 competition was: Retrobot!! With this little robot tap4fun has released a very strong weapon in Dark commander quality. He outnumbered even Incendos the second most frequently used commander.
It seems that the advantage by owning unique CtC commanders is not as tremendous as it was in the past. The best sample for this is the battle between drakoxa and Dictator.s40 in the round of last 32 players. Other staples were Sirenne and Cryptor. (Even 197911 chose Cryptor over a fourth CtC unique commander like Celeste.)

    The Speed Thing

In the past the impact of first strike was very high. You may check an older similar analyis by z3nithor from July 2015 here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...TmMF24/pubhtml

Striking first meant a 75% chance to win the battle or being a winner meant a chance of 75% of having started the battle. In the most recent CCC the winners had first strike in 61% of the engagements and in 39% of the battles they fired second. (A chance of 50% would mean no influence of speed.) This not only an interesting result for CCC participants but also for casual players. With a resilient fleet (high dodge, high reshape level, high block, high anti-crit, lieutenant Krill) firing second does not mean an automatic loss.

    Lieutenants Usage Analysis

Only lieutenants with triggered abilities are included in the analysis. Jackie is still the most prevalent triggering lieutenant. But he got a strong rival for the title as most important lieutenant. Krill showed not as many appearances but his activation characteristics might explain that.

    Conclusion

The most recent CCC showed very interesting and partially surprising results: A brave challenger for 197911, some early favorites fails. And new inspiring tactics in a vivid metagame. A reduced impact of first strike which appears to be very good news as well as increased chances with "normal" commanders.

I atteched all raw data below so you can make your own analysis!

Appendix A - Position Usage Distribution

Just a small and bad graphic to illustrate the position usage. Sadly the google spreadsheet graphics make an awful scaling of the bubble diameters.

Very nice PS: Where's the analysis on the other tiers?

I could not find the time to continue my analyses, so it is good to see someone picking up the mantle

    Thanks Nachteule.

Has anyone done an analysis for iOS before? Even if it is not the most recent CtC.

I know you did this for all tiers several times but I found no better way to transfer the data visualized in the battle sequences to a spreadsheet than watching the videos and manually editing the sheet. Even on a dual screen workplace a lot of handiwork. And too much for me to do this for all.

I have never seen this for iOS platform. I will try to continue for Android (level 100). :-)

No iDevice, and no time to watch all the videos multiple times - there are at least 65 battles per tier, and it usually takes between 15 and 30 seconds to write down the needed information. so minimum 15-30 minutes of non-stop action. If your device or connection is slow, or if you need to re-watch a video...

Tap4Fun could very easily release a CCC analysis, and could go very in-depth with it, and they wouldn't even need to have a person watch the videos.

The first shot is being balanced by two factors:
    1- high dodge
    2- high hp

Another two great factors in this equation are lock and axc deplet.

If you look at the 4 main factors yo so notice that retrobot fits in all of them.

The robot gives you a chance against almost any players, if the difference between them is not too big.

This CCC Drokoxa was fantastic and used in a very brilliant way the main two aspects I've chosen opinion.

Speed is now only a big deal if the enemy incendos can or cannot one shot your commanders. And if you know that he can't you can even put your robot to fire first against him.

We can notice strategy having more importance now, but it's still a long run for most of the players.

Very nice post and a huge effort! I think the most important thing we can take from this is that first hit is no more the sole deciding factor, however the different commanders don't matter as much anymore it is much more about synergy positioning and overall equipment. Drakoxa is the best example for this he had obviously much stronger commanders as opponents, but his equipment is through the roof he must have everything pretty much maxed out, he even has more HP than 197 and Dictator. I would be really interested to see his fleet!
