Thread: [13 Nov - 18 Nov] Tactics Workshop Rewards Event -- Primus Invasion Battle Courses

  1. #51

I've Read the whole topic, I want to say to all those who shared their experiences, thank you very much. Players usually do not like to share their experience, seems like they don't want to give all the "secrets", but quite a few people not so lazy to google the forum, or even more to read five pages of topic =)

I've started to participate in the Invasion event when I was 100 LVL, but the experience was not the best. My fleet is certainly not the strongest, but its forces is 115m and I successfully fight in the arena using Brom, Krang, Akhenaten, Cabal. Tried to participate in the Invasion using my arena fleet, but 2-3 kills and miserable damage ranking was my best. My Primus fleet is Thaddeus, Emma, Flynn, Violette and for 30 minutes I do about 3 billions of damage (considering the strengthening for technical points). Last several Invasions I used my Primus fleet nd damage was about 600M and the damage ranking was good enough to obtain the R6 nuclear spending about 1k of credits for teleports (by the way, I participate only at 13:00 GMT). I surely understand that those who took first place in the invasion donate, but the gap is simply enormous. My damage is 600M, while the top 1 is 170 billion. I've got a lot of new from reading this topic, but still left a lot of questions, namely:

    1. Primus can miss during the Invasion, and he does it more often than daily Primus, if I understand correctly. Is it worth it, in such a case, to put for my Primus fleet Dodge galas instead of SATK galas?

    2. Is it true, that in order to occupy a high place in both Killboard and Damage rankings, you need to hunt for the escort fleets?

    3. In order to hunt for the escort fleets I need to take my arena fleet, enhanced with defenders (advised Dark Asgard and Lance). Who should I take with them? Is there any difference: Physical atackers or Destroyers (whic sould be better: Brom plus Krang or Cabal plus Elsa)? Anyone tried to apply Akhenaten instead of one of Defenders?

    4. Do escort fleets move further than the first planet from the point of their appearance? Where to catch them?

    To answer your question Spaceebaka:

    1. I don't really know but it will not make much difference either way

    2.Yes

3.Yes take Dark Asgard and Lance in the front line and look at the battles from top damage dealers that should tell you the formation
You need a very strong fleet or be low level to do well look at my post from before.

4.No they all get killed on the outer planets, you need to port after you died once

Thanks for participation mate but i still do not understand ...
so you are hunting for the escorts ... the maximum you can do to catch the escort is teleport to some first planet, once you killed and even with the buyback and telepoert again you wont catch the escort in some other planet because in these 5-10 seconds escorts in other planets will be killed by those who stays there.

even with the powerful fleet under coats lvl-2 and with the +50% boost i dont think you can earn more than 4-5 billions from the escorts per 1 attack. lets imagine you catching escorts always in the every wave so 5 billions * 10 = 50 billions, but this number still not explain 150 billions of damage

as i mentioned before after the buy back and teleport you wont be able to catch escorts in somewhere else coz in these 5 seconds which you need to buy back and teleport other escorts will be killed

by fighting primuses themselves you can deal may be maximum 200 millions of damage per attack, to hit 100 billions you ned to deal 500 attacks to the primuses ... 50 credits to buyback + 200 to teleport = 250 credits per attack * 100 attacks (not even 500) = 25,000 credits + 2500 credits (to earn first 50 billions) = lets say 30,000 credits minimum (because of only 100 attacks calculated but i hardly believe you can deal 1 billion damge to the primus per 1 attack even with the lvl 2 coats and 50% boost) so the real price is about 60,000 credits ... do you really spend so much ? it doesnt seem to be meaningful to spend these money because you can easily buy for them the same rewards any time on the market or in actions

    what the sense ?

Thanks for sharing. I've tested everything today and found that I'm not to powerful to fight escort fleets. So I'll take my Primus fleet and get r6.
By the way, how many escort fleets do you kill usually for one fight?

You can theoretical kill all escorts that are coming to one planet if you are alone there, that is max 12500 ships I think.
So if you teleport smart and don't have any other strong players on that planet you can realistically get a few thousands escorts per wave.
Your fleet has to be strong enough to get 0 damage from the escorts, and that is literally 0!
Look at my post from before where I explained the threshold as far as I can tell.
My highest from one wave was around 9k escorts and ~70B damage, that is one port so 180 credits.
I have never spent more than 4500credits during the event and most times quite a bit less.
That is quite the bargain for 35 prisms, 2 mil techpoints, a R6, 10 Cores and some more small stuff.

I've got how it works, I've watched your battles and was amazed of this zero damage shots from Primus strikers. You've might enhanced DEF and SDEF parameters at maximum everyvere (bosons, research center). I suppose there are no destroyers in formation of strikers and rover types of escort fleets, so your fleet can be killed only by escort-destroyers or Primuses. And also Thantos is a perfect desicion for the Invasion.

Sofer I never said thank you for this but better late than never. I have done a couple of invasions and thanks to your table I managed to get R6 every time without spending a dime. You are great!
